This summer: Georgia and Almedalen
2008-06-16 – 23:45This summer me and two friends are going to venture into Georgia. We’ve booked a flight to Tbilisi and one back. What happens the week in between is still open for discussion. I’d like to visit Mskheta perhaps, and seeing the Caucasian mountain tops would be nice.
Also this summer, I’m going to the annual politics festival (that’s what it is!) in Almedalen on the Swedish island Gotland. I’m really looking forward to an event cohosted by the Swedish Armed Forces, the Swedish Peace and Arbitration Society, the Swedish Institute of International Affairs, United Nations Association of Sweden and others. I’ll be slightly involved in this, on the Swedish Peace and Arbitration Society’s part. We’re going to offer the absolute top names in Swedish foreign affairs and politics: Defence Minister Sten Tolgfors and Supreme Commander Håkan Syrén among others.
